I think too many people dont want to work for a corporation, or a "greed oriented" company. They want plenty of off time and no nights or weekeends. They all the peoplel to be nice....

And all of this equals significance? Not so...way to go Andy!

I wonder if Stanley hires and fires his staff based on this philosophy? I agree the search for personal significance is not found in work. But significantly good work, things that build our self worth, value, etc. is found in executing the details of our job. It seems to be a false juxtaposition of doing excellent work--including the details and the search for significance.

Good point.


Personally, when I do a good job at work, I feel good about myself. And when I do it for the glory of God, I think He feels good about it too.
