Historic Business Conference in Arab World, May 8-10th

A historic business conference is being held with American and Arab business leaders, entrepreneurs and educators in N. Africa May 8-10th, 2008. There are tremendous open doors for development in this untapped area of the world in response to an unprecedented Free Trade Agreement and Millennium Challenge between America and this country. The way for extraordinary possibilities has been paved for believers this kingdom that is home to more than 29 million Muslims.

Last year was the first annual conference of its kind; the mayor of the city, local dignitaries, the U.S. ambassador and over 100 others participated in discussions encouraging Westerners to work with Muslims in this part of the world. A business plan contest was held with cash prizes for three nationals with the most innovative ideas to impact their area.

Keynote speakers gave informative presentations on entrepreneurship, creativity and the Free Trade Agreement. This was followed by breakout sessions of Westerners and Arabs as they discussed ways to work together to further develop N. Africa. Tours were given of local businesses, Americans and nationals shared dinner in homes, and cultural events took place.

This year the conference will be bigger and better.

A tri-lingual school for pre-K through high school was established three and a half years ago in this N. African city by American believers. This has led to relationships of trust as well as a significant shift in attitudes towards Americans in this spiritually and culturally traditional area of the world. Nationals are anxious to learn from their Western counterparts about business and education. God has opened a crucial door and only He knows how long this door will be open for us to respond in love and bless this Muslim nation.

A team is being mobilized from across the U.S. of business leaders, entrepreneurs, educators and artists to attend the conference. Three days prior to the conference, an Arab Awareness training will occur on site.
