They serve the automotive, medical, furniture and various consumer-use product industries.Chip Van Klompenberg and his brother Ross formed Extol on Christian principals and with a vision of using it for Christ. The company website contains the following: "Our Value Statement: To honor and glorify God in as many unique ways as possible as we build an organization that competes in the market place with excellence and a partnership that is ours in Christ Jesus."
Going beyond their personal and corporate witness, Chip and Ross began to use their company to help Water Missions www.watermissions.org improve their water purification system. What started out as an after-hours project grew significantly, producing generation upon generation of refinements in a system that has now seen deployment in hundreds of countries.
Thousands of units have been produced and over 1,000,000 people served. Now commercial models are being developed, tested and deployed for the military and they are having a commercial benefit for Extol. An attendee of the meeting saw the potential and offered to connect Extol with FEMA and other international NGOs who would be interested in the technology, and could possibly become customers for commercial versions of the product.
