Repurposing Business—Transforming Society®

The organization formally known as “equip” is now rep. Here's as a copy of the announcement I just received from their Director Brett Johnson.

"The word rep (pronounced with a long “e”, as in reap/reep) stands for repurposing. This reflects the core work that we do—repurposing businesses based on proven and lasting principles. It also carries more urgency as we enter a season of great reaping in the marketplace.

Our Purpose remains the same: Repurposing businesses and other key organizations so that they become deliberate vehicles for societal transformation. We have decided that being a traditional “not for profit” organization is not the best wineskin for us to do this work. While we have several entities that will maintain their non-profit status, including Vine Associates, rep will now be a line of business of The Institute, along with Indaba Publishing.
The community of rep professionals who volunteer their work skills to do God’s business will remain at the heart of the new organization. This community will not change. Accredited consultants will augment the work done on rep Ventures by serving clients through new products that will be offered before and after rep Ventures. Examples include Scorecard Coaching, LEMON Leadership, Corporate Convergence, Repurposing the Leader, and more. If you are a client, you can now contract with The Institute and its worldwide network of consultants to gain services that will move your business from being repurposed to being a societal transformer. We have trained 250 consultants, and have served over 160 clients as of today."
